Efek penggunaan larutan daun kelor (Moringa oleifera lam) dalam “liquid feeding†terhadap performan dan income over feed cost babi peranakan landrace fase starter-grower

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan larutan daun kelor dalam ransum basal terhadap performan dan Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) ternak babi fase starter- grower. Materi yang digunakan adalah 12 ekor ternak babi peranakan landrace jantan kastrasi dengan berat badan awal 18-45 kg (rata-rata 29,17 kg; KV: 34,20%). Metode percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 4 perlakuan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan yaitu: R0 = ransum basal liquid feed (sebagai kontrol); R1 (basal liquid feed + 5% larutan daun kelor); R2 (basal liquid feed + 10% larutan daun kelor); dan R3 (basal liquid feed + 15% larutan daun kelor). Variabel yang diteliti adalah: performan yang terdiri dari konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan (pbb), konversi ransum dan Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa efek penggunaan larutan daun kelor dalam ransum basal berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC), namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konversi ransum. Rataan hasil tiap variabel dari setiap perlakukan adalah: konsumsi ransum R0 (2.012); R1 (2.170); R2 (2.190); dan R3 (2.305) g; pbb: R0 (440,48); R1 (446,43); R2 (523,81); dan R3 (544,64) g; konversi ransum R0 (4,63); R1 (4,92); R2 (4,19); dan R3 (4,32); IOFC R0 (361.331); R1 (319.230); R2 (498.676); dan R3 (507.783) rupiah. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah penggunaan larutan daun kelor dalam ransum basal cair meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan income over feed cost, dan menghasilkan nilai konversi ransum yang relatif sama. Penggunaan 15% memberikan hasil tertinggi untuk konsumsi, pertambahan bobot badan dan income over feed cost, sementara penggunaan 10% memberikan hasil terbaik untuk konversi ransum.

The study aimed at evaluating the effect of using Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam) leaves solution in liquid basal feed on performance and income over feed cost (IOFC) of starter-grower landrace crossbred pig. There were 12 starter-grower lancrace crossbred barrows with 18-45 (average 29.17) kg and CV 34.20% inititial body weight used in th feeding. Trial method using 4 treatments with 3 replicates Block design procedures was applied in the study. The 4 treatment feed formulations offered were: R0 = basal liquid feed (controll); R1 (basal liquid feed + 5% moringa leaves solution); R2 (basal liquid feed + 10% moringa leaves solution); and R3 (basal liquid feed + 15% moringa leaves solution). Variable studied were: perfomances indicators consisting of feed intake, daily body weight gain, feed conversion and income over feed costs value (IOFC). Statistical analysis shows that effect of using Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam) leaves solution in liquid basal feed significant (P<0.05) on feed intake, daily body weight gain, and IOFC value but not significant (P>0.05) on feed conversion of the pig. The average results of each variable of each treatment is: feed intake R0 (2,012); R1 (2,170); R2 (2,190); and R3 (2,305) g; daily body weight gain: R0 (440.48); R1 (446.43); R2 (523.81); and R3 (544.64) g; feed conversion R0 (4.63); R1 (4.92); R2 (4.19); and R3 (4.32); IOFC R0 (361,331); R1 (319,230); R2 (498,676); and R3 (507,783) IDR. The conclusion is that using Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam) leaves solution in liquid basal feed increases feed intake, daily body weight gain and IOFC value, and performs the similar result in feed conversion value. Level 15% performs the highest values in feed intake, daily body gain and IOFC value; but level 10% performs the highets value in feed conversion.
