This study aims to determine the effect of polar bran as an additive to the chemical composition of cabbage (Brassica oleracea) waste silage. This study used an experimental method and was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments tested were, P0 = without using polar, P1 = using 3% polar, P2: using 6% polar, P3: using 9% polar. The variables measured were the content of dry matter (BK), organic matter (BO), and crude protein (PK). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan's multiple range test using the SPSS 25 statistical application. The results showed that the use of various levels of polar bran had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the content of BK and PK, and also had a significant effect (P<0.05) for organic matter content. It can be concluded that the use of polar bran in the manufacture of cabbage waste silage (Brassica oleracea) can increase the dry matter content, organic matter content and crude protein content. The best level of using polar bran as an additive in making cabbage waste silage is 9 percent.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek dedak polar sebagai aditif terhadap komposisi kimia silase limbah sayur kubis (Brassica oleracea). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dan dirancang menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah, P0= tanpa penggunaan polar, P1= penggunaan polar 3%, P2: penggunaan polar 6%, P3: penggunaan polar 9%. Variabel yang diukur adalah kandungan bahan kering (BK), bahan organic (BO), dan protein kasar (PK). Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan menggunakan aplikasi statistic SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan berbagai level dedak polar berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kandungan BK dan PK, serta berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kandungan Bahan Organik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan dedak polar dalam pembuatan silase limbah sayur kubis (Brassica oleracea) dapat meningkatkan kandungan bahan kering, kandungan bahan organik dan kandungan protein kasar. Level terbaik penggunaan dedak polar sebagai aditif dalam pembuatan silase limbah sayur kubis adalah 9 persen.
