Pengaruh Tepung Apu-Apu (Pistia stratiotes) Mensubstitusi Ransum Basal terhadap Konsumsi dan Kecernaan Protein dan Energi Ternak Babi Landrace Fase Grower

This study was intended to examine the effect of a portion of the basal ration replaced by apu-apu flour (Pistia stratiotes) on protein and energy consumed and digested by growing landrace pigs. The study used 12 pigs, 3-4 months old, initial weight 36-58 kg (average 48.17 kg; KV=15.27%). Randomized block design (RAK) was used with 4 groups and 3 periods. The treatments were as follows R0: 100% RB (control), R1: Apu-apu flour substituted 5% RB, R2: Apu-apu flour substituted 10% RB and R3: Apu-apu flour substituted 15% RB. The variables observed were consumption and digestibility of protein and energy.The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA).. The study obtained a very significant effect (P < 0.01) on crude protein consumption, energy consumption and energy digestibility but had no significant effect (P.>0,05) on protein digestibility. It was concluded that the use of water lily flour in replacing the basal ration up to a level of 15% had a significant effect on protein consumption, and was very significant on energy digestibility and energy consumption but not significant on ration consumption and protein digestibility.

Penelitian inibermaksud untukmelihat pengaruh substitusi ransum basal oleh tepung apu-apu (Pistia stratiotes) terhadap protein serta energi terkonsumsi dan tercerna oleh ternak babi landrace masa pertumbuhan. Penelitian menggunakan 12 ekor ternak babi, berumur 3-4 bulan, bobot awal 36-58 kg (rataan 48,17 kg; KV=15,27%). Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang digunakan dengan 4 kelompok dan 3 periode. Perlakuan sebagai berikut R0: 100% ransum basal/RB (kontrol), R1: tepung apu-apu mensubstitusi 5% RB, R2: tepung apu-apu mensubstitusi 10% RB dan R3: tepung apu-apu mensubstitusi 15% RB. Variabe lyang ditelit iyaitu konsumsi serta kecernaan pada protein sertaenergi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA). Penelitian memperoleh hasil berpengaruh sangat signifikan (P<0,01 )pada konsumsi protein kasar, konsumsi energi serta kecernaan energi tetapi tidak berpengaruh signifikan (P.>0,05) pada kecernaan protein.Disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung apu-apu dalam menggantikan ransum basal sampai level 15% relatif dapat meningkatkan konsumsi dan kecernaan pada protein dan energi ternak babi.masa pertumbuhan.
