The Effect of Suplementation of Concentrates Containing Cassava Flour Banana Weevil As An Alternative Energy Sources on The Consumption and Digestability of Dry Matter Crude Protein Bali Cattle Fattening Farmer Pattern

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of concentrate supplementation containing cassava flour and banana weevil on the consumption and digestibility of dry matter and crude protein in fattening bali cattle. This research was conducted in Oeletsala Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency for 109 days starting from August 15 to December 01 2020. This research was divided into 4 periods and each period consisted of 1 week of adjustment, 3 weeks of data collection. This research uses cattle with an age range of 1-1.5 years old as many as 4 heads, with an initial body weight of 133. -155kg with an average of 144kg ± 10.2kg. This research used the Latin Square Design (LSD) method which consisted of 4 treatments and 4 periods as replications. While the treatments were P0 ; farmer pattern feed + concentrate contains 40% banana weevil and 60% cassava, P1 : farmer pattern feed + concentrate contains 50% banana weevil and 50% cassava, P2 ;  farmer pattern feed + concentrate contains 60% banana weevil and 40% cassava, P3 ; Farmer pattern feed + concentrate contains 70% banana weevil and 30% cassava. From the results of the research, the average dry matter consumption was P0: (3369.94g/h/d), P1: (3410.89g/h/d), P2: (3399.58g/h/d), P3: (3392.38g/h/d), crude protein consumption P0: (559.85g/h/d), P1: (568.53g/h/d), P2: (557.38g/h/d), P3: (552.06g/h/d), dry matter digestibility P0: (72.13%), P1: (71.41%), P2: (68.69%, P3: (68.77%), crude protein digestibility P0: (73.21% ), P1: (70.79%), P2: (66.69%) P3: (65.53%) The results of the analysis of variance (Anova) showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on consumption and dry matter digestibility and crude protein. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that banana weevil flour can replace cassava flour up to 50% of the proportion of 45% cassava flour as an energy source in a concentrated feed mixture.

ABSTRAK

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah agar memahami pengaruh suplementasi  konsentrat mengandung tepung ubi kayu dan bonggol pisang atas konsumsi dengan kecernaan  bahan kering  serta protein kasar pada sapi penggemukan pola peternak. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode Rancangan Bujur Sangkar Latin (RBSL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 periode sebagai ulangan. Adapun perlakuan tersebut ialah P0 ; pakan pola peternak + konsentrat mengandung bonggol pisang 40% dan ubi kayu 60%, P1; pakan pola peternak + konsentrat mengandung bonggol pisang 50% dan ubi kayu 50%, P2 ;  pakan pola peternak + konsentrat mengandung bonggol pisang  60% dan ubi kayu 40%, P3 ; pakan pola peternak + konsentrat mengandung bonggol pisang 70% dan ubi kayu 30%. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rataan komsumsi bahan kering P0;(3369,94g/e/h), P1: (3410,89g/e/h), P2: (3399,58g/e/h), P3: (3392,38g/e/h), konsumsi protein kasar P0: (559,85g/e/h), P1: (568,53g/e/h), P2: (557,38g/e/h), P3: (552,06g/e/h), kecernaan bahan kering P0: (72,13%), P1: (71,41%), P2: (68,69%, P3: (68,77%), kecernaan protein kasar P0: (73,21%), P1: (70,79%), P2: (66,69%) P3: (65,53%). Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kensumsi dengan kecernaan bahan kering dan protein kasar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tepung bonggol pisang dapat menggantikan tepung ubi kayu sampai 50% dari proporsi tepung ubi kayu 45% sebagai sumber energi dalam campuran pakan konsentrat.
