Abstract

The aims of the study were to  determined the effect of substitution of fermented water spinach in commercial feed on the percentage of carcass, non carcass, abdominal fat, and final weight of super male free range chickens. The study used 80 DOCsuper male free range chickens reared  up to 8 weeks. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments, 5 repetitions and each repetition had 4 chickens. The treatments consisted of R0 = 100 % commercial ration  (control), R1= 90% commercial ration + 10% water spinach fermented by tape yeast, R2 = 80% commercial ration + 20% fermented water spinach refusal, R3 = commercial rations 70% + 30% fermented water spinach rejects. The results showed that treatments did not significantly (P>0,05) effect the percentage of carcass, non carcass, abdominal fat and final weight of super native chickens. it can be concludedthat, 30%  fermented water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) can substitute commercial l without effecting the percentage of carcass, non carcass, abdominal fat and final weight

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkajipengaruh substitusikangkung air afkir terfermentasi didalam pakan komersial terhadap persentase karkas, non karkas, lemak abdominal, dan bobot akhir ayam kampung super jantan. Penelitian manggunakan 80 ekor DOCayam kampung super jantan yang dipelihara hingga 8 mingguPenelitian inimenggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan4 perlakuan, 5 ulangan dan tiap pengulangan ada 4 ekor ayam. Perlakuan terdiri dari R0 = 100% ransum komersial  (kontrol), R1 = 90% ransum komersial  + 10% kangkung air afkir terfermentasi ragi tape, R2 = 80% ransum komersial + 20% kangkung air afkir terfermentasi, R3 = 70%ransum komersial  + 30% kangkung air afkir terfermentasi. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05)terhadap persentase karkas, non karkas, lemak abdominal dan bobot akhir ayam kampung super . Kesimpulandari penenlitian ini bahwa kangkung air afkir (Ipomoea aquatica) terfermentasi dapat mensubsitusi pakan komersial sampai level 30% tanpa mempengaruhi persentase karkas, non karkas, lemak abdominal dan bobot akhir.
