Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung biji asam terfermentasi (TBAF) dalam ransum terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan income over feed cost (IOFC) pada ternak fase grower-finisher. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 12 ekor ternak babi dengan umur 90-120 hari dan berat badan 23-50 kg (KV = 20,69%). Metode percobaan yang dipakai adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diujikan yakni L0: ransum tanpa tepung biji asam terfermentasi (kontrol), L1: ransum mengandung 15% tepung biji asam terfermentasi, L2: ransum mengandung 20% tepung biji asam terfermentasi, L3 ransu m mengandung 25% tepung biji asam terfermentasi. Variabel yang diukur adalah konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan income over feed cost Hasil analisis ragam ANOVA memperlihatkan bahwa pemakaian TBAF berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan ternak, income over feed cost. Disimpulkan bahwa Penggunaan tepung biji asam terfermentasi dengan level pemberian 0%, 15%, 20%, 25% meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, pertambahan berat badan serta memperoleh harga yang ekonomis terhadap ternak yang di teliti dengan kegunaan IOFC lebih tinggi dibandingkan ransum control.
This study aims to determine the effect of using fermented tamarind seed flour in rations on feed consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion and income over feed cost in grower-finisher pigs. The material used in this study were 12 pigs aged 90-120 days and body weight 23-50kg (CV=20,69%). The experimental method used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments tested were L0 : ration without fermented tamarind seed flour (control), L1 : ration containing 15% fermented tamarind seed flour, L2: feed containing 20% ​​fermented tamarind seed flour, L3 ration containing 25% fermented seed flour. The variables measured were ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion, and IOFC. The results of the analysis of variance ANOVA showed that the use of fermented tamarind seed flour had a significant effect (P<0.05) on feed consumption,body weight gain, income over feed cost. It was conclude that fermented tamarind seed flour with a feeding leve of 0%, 15%, 20%, 25% increased feed consumption, increased body weigth and obtained and economical price for the subject of research with a higher income over feed cost value than control diet.
