The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of low protein feed with and without protease enzyme supplementation on the performance of broilers in the grower period. This study used 96 DOC strains CP 707. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 2x3 factorial pattern, namely 2 enzyme treatments (A0 = without enzymes, and A1 = with enzymes), and 3 protein level treatments ( B1= 20%, B2= 19% and B3= 18%). Each treatment consisted of 4 replications and each replication consisted of 4 chickens. The variables observed were ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion and final weight of broiler chickens. The results showed that there was an interaction between enzymes and protein levels on ration consumption but there was no interaction on body weight gain, ration conversion and final body weight. It was concluded that the ration without enzyme supplementation was better than the administration of enzymes where the lower the protein level, the consumption of the ration, the lower the body weight gain and the lower the final body weight but the higher the ration conversion.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan rendah protein dengan dan tanpa suplementasi enzim protease terhadap performa ayam broiler periode grower. Penelitian ini menggunakan 96 ekor DOC strain CP 707. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 2x3, yaitu 2 perlakuan enzim (A0 = tanpa enzim, dan A1= dengan enzim), dan 3 perlakuan level protein (B1= 20%, B2= 19% dan B3= 18%). Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 4 ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri atas 4 ekor ayam. Variabel yang diamati yaitu konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan bobot akhir ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat interaksi antara enzim dan level protein terhadap konsumsi ransum namun tidak terdapat interaksi pada pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan bobot badan akhir. Disimpulkan bahwa, ransum tanpa suplementasi enzim lebih baik dari pemberian enzim dimana makin menurun level protein, konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan bobot badan akhir semakin rendah rendah namun semakin meningkat konversi ransum
