Abstract

The provision and utilization of local feed by partner farmers for cattle is still minimal. The purpose of this counseling and training activity is to improve the knowledge and technology of providing feed from partners through increased knowledge and skills. The activity was attended by 30 members of the Bukit Manekat farmer group. Activities are carried out with the preparation stage, to prepare partners and supporting devices, and the implementation stage in the form of counseling with local forage and concentrate feed material as supplementary feed and training activities (practice) providing feed using local feed in the form of practice making slow-release urea products based on putak flour and mixing ration techniques using local feed ingredients. The results of the activities showed that the participants were very enthusiastic, serious and played an active role in participating in the activities until completion. It was concluded that the participation of partner participants illustrated that the counseling and training activities carried out could be adopted well.
