Kearifan Lokal Dalam Tradisi Pela Gandong Di Kepulauan Kei Maluku Tenggara

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to find out one form of the local wisdom of the Kei people which is still alive today, namely a pela gandong bond which in kei language is called Ain Ni Ain. Even though the Maluku people in particular already have a pela gandong bond that still stands firm and is lived by all the people in Maluku in general, there is an interesting thing about the life of the people in the Kei islands themselves, namely that they have customary law and a philosophy of life called Ain. Ni Ain as an institution in solving social conflicts if they occur. This paper uses a descriptive-interpretative qualitative research method with a case study approach. in case study research, the researcher is able to collect and integrate quantitative survey data, which facilitates achieving a holistic understanding of the phenomenon being studied. The results of this study indicate that the philosophy of Ain Ni Ain is on the one hand a social agent in solving problems between the people of KEI. However, on the other hand, it is also a set of values ​​in the behavior of living with the Kei people to this day.
