Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak buah lontar dan feses ayam terhadap pemanfaatan energi ternak kambing kacang yang mengkonsumsi hay Botrichloa pertusadan daun lamtoro. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan bujur sangkar latin (RBSL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan yang diberikan adalah  BP = hay Botrichloa pertusa 40% + lamtoro 30% + konsentrat 30%, BPS= hay Botrichloa pertusa 40% + Lamtoro 30% +  konsentrat 20% + buah lontar 10%, BPFA= hay Botrichloa pertusa 40% + lamtoro 30% +  konsentrat 20% + feses ayam 10%, dan BPSFA= hay Botrichloa pertusa 40% + lamtoro 30% +  konsentrat 20% + buah lontar 5% + feses ayam 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak buah lontar, feses ayam dan kombinasi ekstrak buah lontar dan feses ayam meningkatkan (P<0,05) konsumsi gross energi, energi tercerna dan energi metabolis namun tidak meningkatkan kecernaan energi (P>0,05).  Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak buah lontar atau kombinasi ekstrak buah lontar dan feses ayam meningkatkan konsumsi gross energi, energi tercerna dan energi metabolis ternak kambing kacang yang mengkonsumsi hay Botrichloa pertusa dan daun lamtoro namun pemberian feses ayam tidak meningkatkan konsumsi gross energi, energi tercerna dan energi metabolis.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of feeding palm fruit extract and chicken manure on energy utilization of kacang goat consuming Botrichloa pertusa hay and leucaena leaf. This study used latin square design (LSD) with four treatments and four periods. The treatments were BP = Botrichloa pertusa hay 40%+ leucaena 30% + concentrate 30%, BPS = Botrichloa pertusa hay  40% + leucaena 30% + concentrate 20% + 10% palam fruit, BPFA = Botrichloa pertusa hay 40% + leucaena 30% + concentrate 20% + 10% chicken manure, and BPSFA = Botrichloa pertusahay 40% + leucaena 30% +concentrate 20%+5% palm fruit + 5% chicken manure. The results indicated that palm fruit extract, chicken manure or combination of palm fruit ekstract and chicken manure increased (P<0.05) energy gross consumption, digestible energy and metabolism energy, but do not increase energy digestibility (P>0.05). It can be concluded that feeding palm fruit extract or combination of palm fruit extract and chicken manure increased energy gross consumption, digestible energy and metabolism energyof kacang goatwhich is consuming Botrichloa pertusa hay and leucaena leaf while feeding chicken manure did not increase energy gross consumption, digestible energy and metabolism energy.
