Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi kangkung air afkir terfermentasi dalam pakan komersial terhadap bobot  akhir, persentase non karkas, lemak abdominal dan bobot giblet ayam kampung super jantan. DOC ayam kampung super jantan sebanyak 64 ekor digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah  Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan, dimana tiap perlakuan terdiri dari 4 ulangan, dan tiap ulangan terdiri dari 4 ekor ayam. Perlakuan yang dimaksud antara lain: R0 = 100% Ransum basal tanpa substitusi kangkung air afkir terfermentasi (kontrol), R1  =  95% Ransum basal + 5%, kangkung air afkir  terfermentasi, R2  = 90% Ransum basal  + 10%, kangkung air afkir terfermentasi, R3  =  85% Ransum basal +  15%. kangkung air afkir terfermentasi. Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot akhir, persentase non karkas, lemak abdominal dan bobot giblet. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa makin meningkat substitusi kangkung air afkir terfermentasi sampai 15% dalam ransum basal menunjukkan adanya  kecendrungan peningkatan bobot  badan penurunan lemak abdominal  meski secara statistik memberikan pengaruh yang sama  terhadap bobot akhir, lemak abdominal, persentase non karkas, dan bobot giblet.

ABSTRACT

This research aims to find out the impact of water spinach substitution that fermented into the commercial feed towards final weight, non carcass percentage, abdominal fat, and giblets weight of super local rooster. There were about 64  chickens used as samples in this research. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments, where each treatment consisted of 4 replications, and each replication consisted of 4 chickens. The treatments included: R0 = 100% basal ratio, without substitution of fermented  reject water kale (control), R1  =  95% basal ratio + 5%, fermented  reject water kale, R2  =  90% basal ratio +  10%,fermented  reject water kale, R3  =  85% basal ratio +   15% fermented  reject water kale. Variables observed were final weight, non-carcass percentage, abdominal fat, and giblet weight. Statistical analysis showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05). It was concluded that the increasing substitution of fermented reject water kale  up to 15% in the basal ration indicated a tendency to increase in body weight and decrease in abdominal fat although statistically it had the same effect on final body weight, abdominal fat, non-carcass percentage, and giblet weight.
