Abstract

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian  untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam) difermentasi dengan EM-4 pada “liquid feeding†terhadap performan dan efisiensi penggunaan protein babi starter peranakan Duroc. Subjek yang dipakai yakni 12 anak babi berusia 2-3 bulan sesuai  rataan ukuran tubuh semula 16,5 kg dan  KV  19,82%. Percobaan ini memakai rancanan acak kelompok (RAK)  yaitu 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Adapun perlakaun  diberikan yakni R0:RB  liquid feeding, R1:RB liquid feeding + 5% larutan ekstrak daun kelor (EDK) + effective microorganism – 4 (EM-4), R2:RB liquid feeding + 10% (EDK) + (EM-4) dan R3:RB  liquid feeding + 15% (EDK) + (EM-4).  Variable yang  diukur yaitu konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum, konsumsi protein serta efisiensi penggunaan protein. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertambahan  bobot badan dan efisiensi penggunaan protein serta berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) pada konsumsi ransum, konversi ransum dan konsumsi protein. Simpulan dari  pemberian ekstrak daun kelor dalam ransum basal cair mampu menaikan peningkatan berat tubuh, membagikan pengaruh yang relatif sama akan konsumsi ransum, konversi ransum serta konsumsi protein, serta mampu meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan protein. Pemberian 15% memberikan  pengaruh terbaik bagi efisiensi penggunaan protein, serta pertambahan bobot badan, pemakaian 10% memberikan pengaruh tertinggi bagi konversi ransum .

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving Moringa leaf extract (Moringa oleifera Lam) fermented with EM-4 in "liquid feeding" on the performance and efficiency of using Duroc hybrid starter pig protein. The subjects used were 12 piglets aged 2-3 months according to the average body size of 16.5 kg and KV 19.82%. This experiment used RAK with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments are R0:RB liquid feeding, R1:RB liquid feeding + 5% solution of Moringa leaf extract (EDK) + effective microorganisms – 4 (EM-4), R2:RB liquid feeding + 10% (EDK) + (EM -4) and R3:RB liquid feeding + 15% (EDK) + (EM-4). The variables measured were ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion, protein consumption and the efficiency of protein use. The results showed that the treatment had a significant (P<0.05) effect on body weight gain and protein use efficiency and had an insignificant (P>0.05) effect on ration consumption, ration conversion and protein consumption. In conclusion, the administration of Moringa leaf extract in liquid basal ration was able to increase the increase in body weight, share a relatively similar effect on ration consumption, ration conversion and protein consumption, and was able to increase the efficiency of protein use. The use of 15% gave the best effect on the efficiency of protein use, and body weight gain, the use of 10% gave the highest effect on the ratio consumed and body size.
